What Matters To You? - Our Stories
Welcome to our Stories page—a space dedicated to the people behind the movement.
Here, you’ll find real stories from individuals, teams, and communities across Perth and Kinross who are embracing the What Matters to You? (WMTY) approach. These stories reflect the heart of our mission: building relationships, listening with compassion, and creating meaningful change through simple, human conversations.
Whether it’s a health and social care worker sharing how one question transformed a care experience, or a community member reflecting on what truly matters to them, each story is a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we take the time to listen.
What You’ll Find Here:
- Video Stories – Watch and listen to voices from across the movement.
- Personal Reflections – Honest, heartfelt accounts from people across our localities.
- Team Spotlights – How teams are embedding WMTY into their daily practice
- Your Turn – Want to share your own story? We’d love to hear from you.
Together, these voices help us learn, grow, and stay connected to the values that guide us: ambition, compassion, and integrity.

"Following our thought provoking session with Tommy and the WMTY team in May this year, HDT decided to mark the occasion by having a celebratory/ reflection lunch on the 3rd June. We decided to focus on something that mattered to us in our personal lives to help bonding within the team and create a better understanding of each other given we have had quite a few new team members over the last few months, this lunch was enjoyed by all and we plan to make this a more frequent event within HDT given how busy our day to day jobs are, giving the team some time for bonding, boosting team morale and reflection."
